Shadow friend

Spread the love

Shadow selfI can feel you their,

The air vibrates with a dark glow,

On which your whispers are carried,

You move through the shadows,

Dancing on the edge of my eye line,

Form and formless you permeate my thoughts,

Distracting logic and freeing madness,

Releasing wave upon wave of confusion,

With siren songs to guide me to destruction,

Lifelines of logic and experience tether me,

Like Jason strapped to the mast,

Howling madness feasts on my despair,

As silver lights cut my flesh,

Revealing glimpses of reality amongst the crimson streams,

I follow the streams until I realise what I have done,

And reality returns to me,

And my shadow friend slips away to hunt me another day,

Now battled scarred and bloody,

Dazed and confusion,

I know I have won once more,

I take the pills,

They blunt the mind and stop my shadow friend inside.

About Mr BPD

About Author. I have Borderline Personality Disorder and as a writer and poet I explore my madness through the creative arts. I have a personal belief that even in darkness light exists and it is a personal responsibility to always seek the light and I find the light in creating something.
